Welcome to the WinCommunity. We are here to win the battles that are thrown at us as a result of developmental challenges, to learn and share useful and valuable information and most importantly to support each other through this journey. Please feel free to introduce yourself as you join, and it is alright if you also choose to be silent. Raising a child with a developmental condition can be challenging and hopefully as a community we can lighten that burden and help these children achieve their full potentials. Although this community caters to parents/carers of children with developmental challenges, other parents are equally welcomed. I am sure there is a lot we can all learn from each other.

Every registered member is allowed to post and comment but as a community, there are few ground rules that we expect every member to abide by. These will help ensure civility, fairness and respect for others.

    • The WinCommunity is a support community therefore we require empathy. You don’t know what others are going through and a little kindness never hurts.
    • We ask that only polite language is used here. We do not support foul or abusive language.
    • We kindly ask that members show respect for each other. Opinions may differ but respect doesn’t change.
    • We hope to connect parents/carers/families and experts but please bear in mind that any advice received here does not constitute a diagnosis nor does it represent a prescription.
    • Members of this community can post instantly. However,we reserve the right to remove any post which is considered offensive or which does not conform with our terms and conditions.

We have created a few tags which can be used when putting up a new post. This makes it easy to find related posts in the community. Below are the tags and what they relate to. If you have a post which does not relate to any of the tags below, please contact us.

Getting a diagnosis: Use this for everything relating to where and how to get a diagnosis.

Coping Techniques: Use this to share tips and tricks as parents/carers and educators.

Expert Advice: Put your question here if you would like an expert to answer your question.

Support Services: This tag covers everything from educational to medical support.

Cool Off: Use this tag when it all feels like it is too much and you just need to let off some steam.

All things women: Use this for all other women related topics only.

Specific Conditions: Use this if you would like to talk in detail about any particular developmental condition.

This is an evolving community and we welcome comments and contributions on improvements.
