Research and Programs Coordinator

The Winford Centre for Children and Women is hiring a research and programs coordinator to support its activities in Nigeria. The successful candidate will be working closely with the CEO and leadership.

The research and programs co-ordinator will support all aspects of:

  • Research and programs design, planning, implementation, evaluation and dissemination. This includes but is not limited to conducting literature reviews, supporting data collection, analysis of qualitative data, contributing to preparing reports, planning and coordinating stakeholder events and dissemination activities.
  • Systems, processes and operations management
  • Funding sourcing including grant writing and management
  • Volunteer management
  • Stakeholder engagement and correspondence management
  • Online community engagement (including social media)
  • Marketing and outreach activities
  • Any other task as may be deemed necessary.

The role will require occasional travel within and outside Nigeria

Essential Criteria

The successful applicant should have:

  • At least a master’s degree in development studies, social sciences, education or related fields.
  • Knowledge of and experience in disability issues in Global South contexts
  • Strong research and analytical skills
  • Experience in using referencing software such as Zotero
  • Experience in qualitative data collection methods and analysis, including using software such as NVivo or similar tools.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Highly organised, proactive, and resourceful
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively to deadlines, with attention to detail.

The following would be advantageous:

  • Experience of successful grant writing
  • Knowledge of and interest in storytelling, creative and visual art.
  • Experience creating content for varied social media platforms
  • Experience of organising workshops.
